In our final part of Team Colours BBL season preview we look at the remaining sides ahead of the 2012 season opening this week. This season is the 12th for the British Basketball League, and looks to be increasing in popularity and awareness with the London Olympics just around the corner.
[five-star-rating]
Plymouth Raiders
The green and white basketball jerseys of
Plymouth Raiders have not won the championship since joining in 2004, a 3ed place finish in 2008 being their highest finish. Coach Gavin Love will lead the side out at the Pavilions arena this season. The side will look to repeat the success once achieved in the EBL and start their campaign against Guildford Heat on Sunday.
Sheffield Sharks
Sheffield Sharks are reigning BBL Cup holders and an excellent season last year saw them finish league runners up. The yellow and blue basketball jerseys play at the English Institute of Sport and have a great history, winning every trophy in the British game since their foundation in 1991. Sharks begin against Cheshire Jets on Friday 30th Sept and will be among league favourites again.
Worchester Wolves
The Worchester Wolves play in navy and white basketball jerseys, they joined the BBL in 2006 and have struggled for success, an 8th place finish their highest yet. Next season will see them play in the newly built Worcester Arena under coach Paul James, though they may face a tough season with lower teams having been removed from the franchise. They begin their season by hosting Guildford Heat on Saturday.

We at Team Colours want to wish all teams the best of luck for the season ahead. Basketball is a much under represented sport in the British media and its gradual emergence and close competition give it all the more reason to receive additional coverage. Team Colours has had various involvement with the BBL over the past few years, firstly providing custom sublimated jerseys for the
BBL Allstars teams at the BBL Trophy in 2010 and then showcasing a range of sublimated basketball jersey designs at the
BBL Cup Final 2011. View all other BBL teams in  our guide
